“From as early as I can remember good food was a part of my life. Growing up in Jamaican I had the pleasure of learning and experiencing one of the greatest cuisines. My family had been involved in the food service business which means from a young age I had to help and that made my love for food grow. Being Jamaican is more than just coming from a place, it’s a vibe, a certain way of life, full of flavor, passion and pride. When I make a meal I cook with all those things, not just to satisfy someone’s appetite but for them to truly enjoy what they’re eating. When I moved to the US I fell in love with Authentic Texas BBQ. Something about it just spoke to me and reminded me of how we smoke meats in my culture as well. That love for Jamaican food and Texas BBQ brought about Pimento Smoke. One thing is true whenever you try our food, there will be no doubt that it was cooked with love, passion, flavor and soul, because nothing brings us joy like seeing you enjoy it. Well maybe one other thing and that soccer or as we call it football.”
